My Secret Santa
The good thing about Secret Santas is that one day, in your mailbox, quite unexpectedly, you get REALLY cool things. Better yet, it's uber cool if your SS is a jewelry designer. Now you've all heard me rave about Coleenabobeena and how much I love her stuff. But this year thanks to the crappy economy, I have been scooping on up some FANTASTIC deals. And let me tell you, these ladies don't scrimp. We are talking GORGEOUS hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind, pass down to your heirs type of jewelry.

But first! I received these AWESOME earrings from Bella Jolie AKA Secret Santa. (Hi Trisha! Love the baubbles! You ROCK. How did you know I was wearing a red sweatshirt today? You are amazing.)

New Earrings

And then a few months back I got STUNNING jewlery from Elements by Dawn. So delicate and sparkly it makes my eyes tear to look at them.

AND THEN we have the earrings that make every fashionista envious with the girlie girl wearable art from On A String Designs. Oh, did I mention the sparkle? Oh yeah. They SPARKLE.

So what are you waiting for? Christmas is coming (hint. hint certain blog-readers). Go out there and support artists and their craft. Etsy is just screaming your name.

Seriously.
OMG. I have dedicated WAY too many hours trying to get comments back with the new blog. It is driving me absolutely insane (you thought I was going to say "fucking crazy", didn't you? Well, I didn't because I'm trying to keep control of my cyber potty mouth). At any rate, I have tried everything. Reverting back to old blogger style, adding halogen comments, all to no avail. I swear there is some little effing troll inside my computer just messing with me. I have bruises on my forehead from repeatedly slamming my head against the monitor.

Again with my favorite gif:
computerblood

Anybody wanna help? I can bribe you with artwork. Christmas is coming. Oh, and because there is no EFFING comments you will have to email me at artbyshano (at) gmail dot com. Added bonus if I can have my motha . . . If I can have my blog titles back for posts that would be GREAT.

Illustration Friday "RAMBUNCTIOUS"
This week's theme at Illustration Friday is Rambunctious. Because pretty much all of the women and animals that I illustration are a bit on the rambunctious side, I have gone with one that has the most suiting title of "Whoa". Hold on to those reins, girlie.

Whoa
"WHOA" image can be found here.

We all eat mysterious things
I have a kitten that eats potatoes. I found that my stash of potatoes had been broken into after discovering Misty carrying around a mysterious object in her mouth. Mostly afraid to investigate suspicious object, I was relieved to find that it was merely a half-eaten potato. I didn't know kittens ate potatoes, or were aware of the food pyramid. However, when I tried to take object in question away from said kitten, there was a blatant refusal. Only after attempting to take contraband from kitten in question, did kitten abscond with starch food group where thereafter continued to nom nom nom the potato.

Dictionary.com. I miss the old version. You know how much I hate it when I don't understand big words.

Mack Daddy of all blogging websites. The Holy Grail of ALL blogs . . . http://www.blogs.com/topten/ You know where I will be for the next Top 10 years.

My studio is deemed too cold to create in by the National Weather Forecast. Therefore, I have been taking a million tutorials on Photoshop. And yes, my half-ass website will probably stay mostly black on some pages while pink on others. A girl has the prerogative to be fickle, and I believe my website showcases that quite well. If creating a shopping cart wasn't so damn hard, it would be uniform in color by now. But whatev. I'm very busy stalking collecting online photos of Robert Pattinson to care about such details at the moment.

Holy crap. Um. Edited to add. I guess I have a "type". Here's a photo of my husband (cira 1992-1993) shortly before we were married. Notice any strong resemblances? Tall, dark, handsome, and PALE as all hell. Not to mention the Phwoofy hair, square jawline, cleft chin, and come hither stare. OMG. Wouldn't that be SO cool if I married a vampire?! I think I'm on to something. It would explain SO much!
